Welcome to the website of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated©, Sigma Omega Omega Chapter. Founded in 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is an international organization of college educated women providing “Service to All Mankind”.
The Sigma Omega Omega Chapter (SOO) exemplifies that mission and has demonstrated a legacy of Sisterhood and Service in the Douglas County community since it was chartered on December 29, 1990. We are part of the Significant South Atlantic Region under the leadership of Regional Director, Carolyn Gause Randolph.
The spectacular women of SOO are committed to executing the International Programs of service established by our 30th International President, Dr. Glenda Glover.
The program theme for 2018-2022 is Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service. The International Program includes five program targets that are designed to advance the mission of Alpha Kappa Alpha with excellence and underscore our commitment to sustainable service.
The five program targets for 2018-2022 are:
The Signature Program is #CAPSM which is the abbreviation for the College Admissions Process. It is designed to assist students in their efforts to enter college by providing a hands-on approach that includes all the steps from researching various colleges to actually completing the application process.
If you are a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. we invite you to Sorority Meeting on the fourth Saturday of each month at 10 am. Our normal meeting location is the Douglasville Conference Center. Please check the website for meeting location and/or date changes as we sometimes relocate due to special occasions.
