Welcome to the website of Sigma Omega Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. The founders of Alpha Kappa Alpha, our beloved sorority, looked to this day. For it is life, the very life of our beloved sorority. In it's 99 years of service lies all the varieties, and realities of our existence. For yesterday is already a dream that our founders envision and tomorrow is only a vision of what lies ahead, but today, well lived, makes every yesterday a dream of worship, community service, and scholarship. And every tomorrow, a vision of hope that service to all mankind will forever continue.
The members of the Sigma Omega Omega Chapter of Douglasville, Georgia welcome all inactive members to "come home". We also encourage all undergraduate members to close the gap and continue their dedication to the sisterhood as they transition to graduate membership.
Since being chartered in December 1990, we have continued to uphold the ideals that our founders envisioned by ensuring that all events are community driven. As you continue to browse through this website, we anticipate that you will go away with a new appreciation of the countless efforts that go into expanding and enhancing our service in the community each year. It is also our hope that as you browse, your commitment to Alpha Kappa Alpha will be strengthened. Please know that this website is not intended to replace our traditional means of communication, but rather it is offered to complement our efforts to keep you informed.
